After picking you up at your hotel or chosen location, a professional guide will accompany you during the trip, telling stories and information related to the places you will visit. The first destination will be the town of San Antonio de Areco, a place well known for its artisans and gaucho traditions. Depending on the opening day, you will visit the “Ricardo Güiraldes Gauchos Museum”. The museum follows Ricardo Güiraldes a very important writer of Argentine literature, who lived and gained inspiration for his books in “Estancia La Porteña”. The “Draghi Museum” exhibits works and techniques made in silversmithing. There will also be exhibitions of goldsmithing and clothing of unique pieces made in Creole style. After this culturally enriching tour, “ Estancia La Porteña” will be waiting for you just 10 minutes from San Antonio de Areco! Being a typical Argentine Estancia, the“ Estancia La Porteña” is considered one of the most attractive and traditional in the country. The historic site was built in 1822 and its park was designed by the French landscape designer Charles Thays. In San Antonio de Areco, you can visit very beautiful Estancias, but only one is considered National Historical Monument and that is “ Estancia La Porteña”, where you will appreciate trees that are more than 200 years old, the Poet’s Corner and the old stove of “Don Segundo Sombra” (the writer’s most recognized work). “ Estancia La Porteña” has also been distinguished and chosen as one of “The 1,000 Places to See Before You Die”!!
