Day 1
Times:
Departure from Buenos Aires: 8:30 / 9:00 a.m.

–The passenger will be picked up according to the agreed time, in a comfortable van or car depending on the number of people, from the hotel, Airbnb or place chosen by you (within the city of Buenos Aires).

-Accompanied Bilingual guide.

-Includes: round trip transportation, tickets to the Museum (Gauchesco Museum/Parque Criollo Ricardo Güiraldes or Draghi Museum), tour of the Main Plaza and later accommodation at Estancia La Porteña.

-Included in the Stay: Accommodation in the rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Includes all meals during the stay, drinks and activities (historical visit, music and folk dance, horseback riding, animals field, demonstration with horses, among others).


Day 2:
You would start the day with a country breakfast, you can opt for another horseback ride or participate in the different scheduled activities.

At noon you will enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue and in the afternoon, tea/mate time accompanied with a variety of homemade cakes and pastries.

Return to Buenos Aires: approximately 6:00 p.m.

Detailed information:

After picking you up at your hotel or chosen location, a professional driver/guide will accompany you during the trip telling stories and information related to the places you will visit. The first destination will be the town of San Antonio de Areco, a place well known for its artisans and gaucho traditions. Depending on the opening day, you will visit the “Ricardo Güiraldes Gauchos Museum”. The museum follows Ricardo Güiraldes a very important writer of Argentine literature, who lived and gained inspiration for his books in “Estancia La Porteña” . You will find everything related to the writer, his works, habits and customs of the Gaucho’s life. (https://museoguiraldes.areco.gob.ar).
The “ Draghi Museum” exhibits works and techniques made in silversmithing. There will also be exhibitions of goldsmithing and clothing of unique pieces made in Creole style. (http://www.marianodraghi.com/el-museo) You will also visit the Main Plaza, where the San Antonio de Padua Parish and a Gaucho’s Bar / store is located. For your accommodation, “Estancia La Porteña” will be waiting for you, just 10 minutes from San Antonio de Areco! Founded in 1822, is the Estancia of the writer Ricardo Güiraldes and was declared a National Historical Monument. You will enjoy some delicious empanadas, a typical Argentine barbecue with a variety of cuts, salads and grilled vegetables, accompanied by drinks and wines from Argentine wineries (no additional cost), tea/mate time accompanied by a variety of homemade cakes and pastries, dinner ( traditional Argentine food with an established menu) and country breakfast. Lunch and tea/mate time are also included the next day.


Activities included in the Estancia:

  • Historical visit and unique representative places of the Estancia.
  • Guided horseback riding through the pampas, passing through a natural forest.
  • Carriage Ride.
  • Demonstration of horses / Creole skills.
  • Guitar and folk dance, whoever chooses to participate will be taught typical dances of the region!
  • Come and visit farm animals: horses, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, among others.
  • Pool/Swimming pool (in season).
